My favourite cards from 2013

Hi blogging friends From Millan.Net

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Have you made any New Year's Resolutions?  I only have a couple - one of which is the same as last year's which is to use more of my stash of designer papers rather than buying a whole lot more.  Of course, I will still buy the occasional small pad or a few sheets:  it is nice to shout myself some new papers now and then.

My 2nd Resolution is to continue to play along in the Splitcoaststampers Monthly Christmas Fan Club Challenges each month.  I started in July 2013 when I was asked to be a Guest Designer for that month and have kept playing along each month since.  I was so pleased to have a good little stash of Christmas cards ready to send out by the time 1st December came around.

As many bloggers do at this time of year, I am sharing my favourite cards from 2013.

My first card is a Get Well decoupage/paper tole card that I made for my brother-in-law in January using the Docrafts Wellington Bear range that I love so much.  I have made alot of masculine cards using this range!

You can see my original blog post HERE.

My second card is an Easter card that I made for my daughter.  It was my first ever Circular Side-Step card - quite a challenge for me who struggles with anything other than a regular card fold!

You can see my original blog post HERE.

My third card was a Circle birthday card that I made for my nephew's 8th birthday.  My nephew loves all things Star Wars so that was why I went for a space theme.  I was thrilled to bits that my card was picked as one of the Weekly Favourites on Splitcoaststampers (blush, blush)!

My fourth card is a birthday card I made for my brother-in-law - again using the gorgeous Docrafts Wellington Bear range.  I just LOVE teddy bears (but you probably already know that if you are a regular follower of my blog!).

You can see my original blog post HERE.  Scroll down a little as I have 2 cards on this post.

My fifth card is a Christmas card which was very simple but I just loved how it turned out as I love white-on-white Christmas cards.  It was a wonderful surprise that my card was chosen as one of the Weekly Favourites on Splitcoaststampers.

My sixth card is another Christmas card which had me making friends with my brayer again after quite some years.  It was good to try a technique again that had initially frustrated me and be happy with the results:

My final card is one that I shared only a week ago and was the Christmas card that I gave to my daughter - yes, it's another teddy bear card LOL!

Thank you for having a walk with me through my creative journey from 2013.

ah such a lovely selection Jobear - I do remember them all to be honest so shows they do make an impact ..

...perhaps except for the round space one for the nephew, and it is a beauty so must have been when not 100%

...I kind of think I would like to join the challenge you speak of ... but not sure how to do it to be honest... must look into it.

I did pop over to the link and a phishing url was blocked by "mysweethome ideas dot com" by Kaspersky. Guess it belongs to someone who has posted on the home page of the challenge - wonder if they know?

Like the peace challenge theme for this month.. maybe? will email if make card and cant figure it out.
God bless and keep you all in good health for 2014.. may the LORD be your comfort and peace throguh it all,
love Shaz.xx

All fabulous cards Jocelyn. Great resolutions too. My first is much the same to continue using up my stash. My second is to actually work through my Favourites and Pinterest lists and do some new techniques. Happy New Year to you and your family.

Hi Jocelyn

It must have been very difficult to select your favourite 5 .. .. you have shown so many lovely ones on your blog.

You clearly love using the Wellington paper set as much as I have.

Hope you had a good weekend.
